Jamie’s review
Disclaimer - I only read book 1 and 2 (Bridge Kingdom and Traitor Queen) at the time of this review.
If you like battle strategy, trade agreements, and treaty negotiations with a teeeeensy side of romance, then I have the books for you! Listen, I appreciate a solid plot and world building. But my head hurts from all the GD logistics in these books. I don't need to know the minute details of every kingdom's alliances. Holy shit. I am trying to relax here, Danielle!
I really liked Lara, our secret trained assassin sent to marry and murder Aren, the King of Ithacana. But we just did not get enough of their relationship for me to get fully invested. Could have used less swimming through shark infested waters and more tension and banter. Sigh.
