This duology is interesting because as a whole I didn't love it but when I dissect it, it's super memorable and there are some great dark romance and dark fantasy aspects to it. I specifically read it for spooky season and it fits that bill 100%. My Husband used to travel a lot for work and I was deep into the series when I was reading it one night when he was out of town. I literally had to put it down and put Friends on. This is Angels and Demons and religious cults and reincarnation. Super gothic, creepy and dark. I enjoyed the writing and the mystery but I don't know, I guess it just wasn't my cup of tea. BUT, if you like those vibes - it's only a duology so pick it up!
