The First Time I Saw Him

The First Time I Saw Him, the sequel in Laura Dave's Hannah Hall series, picks up five years after the events of The Last Thing He Told Me, with Hannah and her stepdaughter Bailey having built a cautious new life in Southern California alongside Bailey's grandfather Nicholas. When Owen suddenly reappears at Hannah's art exhibition, old dangers resurface, forcing the pair to activate their long-prepared escape plan and flee once more. As they race through Paris and unravel lingering family mysteries amid pursuit and revelations, the story examines forgiveness, unbreakable bonds, and the pursuit of a second chance without disclosing key outcomes.
