The Boys of Tommen by Chloe Walsh is an emotionally raw new adult romance series set in early 2000s Cork, Ireland, at the elite Tommen College, centering on a tight-knit group of rugby players and their friends as they confront high school pressures, family dysfunction, and first loves. It kicks off with shy, traumatized Shannon Lynch transferring schools to escape bullying and abuse, where she meets star rugby captain Johnny Kavanagh, sparking a profound slow-burn connection built on protection, friendship, and healing amid her turbulent home life. Subsequent books delve into Joey Lynch's addiction-fueled struggles and redemption, Gibsie's lighter yet layered romance with Claire, and upcoming tales like Hughie and Lizzie's, all weaving themes of mental health, generational trauma, found family, vulnerability, and resilience through gritty realism, banter, and heartfelt growth.
