A Final Anarchy

The Artisan Trilogy by Stacey McEwan is a slow-burn romantasy series set in a divided world of gleaming Belavere City powered by idium mines, where childhood friends Nina Harrow and Patrick Colson from impoverished mining towns are selected at age 12 for magical testing to become elite Artisans wielding elemental powers like earth charming. Discovering Artisans are artificially "chosen" rather than born, they diverge: Nina embraces her rare earth magic and Artisan life as escape, while Patrick rejects it for his Craftsman roots of superhuman strength fueling the mines, carrying the secret alone amid growing class tensions. Years later, a Craftsman revolution erupts, capturing Nina—who's withdrawn from the fight after losses—and reuniting her with Patrick leading rebels, forcing collaboration on a pivotal mission despite betrayals, sparks of unresolved connection, and her ex-lover's conflicting pleas, across A Forbidden Alchemy , A Forsaken Prophecy , and beyond, exploring rebellion, loyalty, forbidden alchemy, and war-shaping prophecies.
