From BookTok sensation Lauren Palphreyman comes the first in the Wolf King series, an adult fantasy romance for fans of romantasy, werewolves, forbidden romance, and enemies to lovers.
When a princess is kidnapped by an alpha, war rages between the humans and the wolves. But soon, forbidden attraction starts to grow...
Princess Aurora longs to escape the castle and the marriage that has been arranged for her.
But on the night before her wedding, at a dog fight where captured werewolves are made to fight for sport, she spares the life of a young wolf. It puts her on the radar of the powerful alpha who was going to kill him. And it changes everything.
That night, when the alpha escapes, he kidnaps her and takes her to the rugged lands north of the border -- where the once warring werewolf clans are beginning to unite. He thinks that she is the key to winning the war against the humans.
Only, as they spend time around one another, forbidden attraction starts to grow. And as Aurora learns that not all wolves are bad, the alpha discovers that she is in danger from both his enemies, and those he once considered friends.
With monsters on both sides, a bloodthirsty war between humans and wolves raging, and undeniable passion growing between them -- will their story end in love? Or tragedy?
And will Aurora ever get home?
Does she even want to?
Delicious tropes:
Wolf shifters
Princess x alpha
Captive heroine
Enemies to lovers
Love triangle done RIGHT
Forbidden romance
Humans vs wolves war
Praise for The Wolf King:
"Had to read it twice, it was so good!" -- Amazon review
"If Outlander and a werewolf pack had a love child, this book would be it. If you want a book that's got just enough magic, a soft but strong heroine, alpha energy without the cringe, Scottish werewolves, kilts, vibes, emotional depth, fun narration and a plot that keeps moving, this is the one." -- Goodreads review
"Masterfully balances suspense, passion, and character development, all wrapped up in a captivating paranormal romance setting." -- Amazon review
"If you're into werewolf romances or fantasy and are looking for something fast paced & exciting, this is it." -- Goodreads review

My notes while reading Wolf King and Night Prince 😂
Can we stop using the word “shift” when they aren’t shifting? Just use “move”?
10/10 for the wolf king. I know this turns into a love triangle and I don’t understand how. Callum is too likable. Maybe he’s a pussy. I can’t tell. He does a few stupid things but I don’t know how we are supposed to like Blake more. This BETTER NOT turn into why choose. I will riot.
At one point I said to Jamie, "Are we sure we start to hate Callum"? She was like…uh…he does some stuff. Now that I've read The Wolf King AND The Night Prince (The Wolf Queen coming in September 🎉), I get the love triangle but I wanted a little more separation, earlier. In my notes as I was reading I wrote: 1/2 way through The Night Prince and still very confused how Callum is going to mess this up in the end. 🤣 Which led me to what I was pretty sure I knew - and I definitely guessed all of the major twists. BUT I will say - I loved how The Wolf King ended. It was more of a political maneuver plot twist than anything else and that was unique to me. Great cliffhanger for book 1. I flew threw both of these and am SO excited for the final book in this amazing trilogy. Here's where the series started to lose me: the ONLY real conversations between Aurora and Blake were in dreams and I honestly cannot stand that (ahem Onyx Storm). It started to get so repetitive. It starts to feel like a games and trials trope to me (one of my least fave). Then there was even like a dream INSIDE of a dream…I was like COME ON. That and us still hating Blake until very verrrrry far into book 2 is what brought me from a 5 to a 4.5. But I'm mostly being a moody bitch right now. If you love Romantasy - this is a MUST series. You will devour. Trust.
