The Woman in Cabin 10 follows Lo Blacklock, a travel journalist who boards a luxury, ultra-exclusive cruise ship for a career-making assignment sailing through the North Sea. One night, she hears a scream and what sounds like a body being thrown overboard from the cabin next door, but when she reports it, the crew insists that the cabin is empty and all passengers are accounted for. Trapped at sea, battling anxiety and doubts about her own perception, Lo becomes determined to prove that a crime has taken place, untangling a web of secrets, danger, and gaslighting on a ship where appearances are carefully curated and no one wants her asking questions.
I'm giving it 4 stars based on how I think I felt like a decade ago. Seems legit right? Yup! Let's just go with it, ok!? I only read The Woman in Cabin 10 but wowza I couldn't put it down. And this was when I wasn't reading all that much. I loved this mystery/thriller and it had me guessing the entire time. I felt like I was in the game Clue but on a fancy cruise ship version!
